Behavior analysis is the scientific study of behavior. The underlying philosophy of behavior analysis is behaviorism; the idea that a science of behavior, and therefore behavior change, is possible (Baum). Through direct observation of behavior and manipulation of the environment, behavior can be changed. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the application of the principles of behavior analysis with the goal of changing socially significant behaviors.

For over four decades, behavioral scientists have been observing, measuring, and changing behaviors. They have published the results in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to the development of skills for individuals of different ages and with varying diagnoses.

Gateway4ABA LLC provides applied behavior analysis (ABA therapy) to children and   adolescents in Virginia in home, community, and school environments. Programs are individually designed and are based on B.F. Skinner's (1957) analysis of verbal behavior. Programs are designed and overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). Gateway4ABA is unique in that additional support is provided to therapists and families by graduate-level case managers who are pursuing board certification.

We achieve this by providing high-quality and medically necessary ABA treatment to our patients. We believe that through collaboration, training, and empathetic and caring instruction, all people can achieve their goals and lead enriching lives. Our unique supervision model gives families more time with qualified senior therapists and case managers, who offer support with an emphasis on assisting families in navigating the oftentimes challenging world of providing for a family member with special needs.
